Tukholman & Kööpenhaminan ostokset / What I bought from Stockholm & Copenhagen

Hei!

Hello! In this post I will show you what I bought from my trip to Stockholm and Copenhagen. At first I thought that I wouldn't do this post, but I wanted to tell you about the vintage shops I visited during the trip. Maybe some of you will visit these same vintage shops, if you go to Stockholm or Copenhagen!

Siinä kaikki ostokset, paitsi kaksi taulua, jotka esittelen postauksen loppupuolella. Aloitetaan ensin Tukholman ostoksista, kun siellä olin ensin.

Here are all of my purchases, except for two paintings. I will show you them in the end of this post. But first, we I'll show you what I bought from Stockholm.

Old Touch, Upplandsgatan 43

Old Touch oli taivas!

Finally I found a suit that is almost perfect! I'm not a fan of this fabric, I would have liked the fabric to be thicker and warmer. I did try a couple of suits made from a much thicker fabric (there were lots of suits in this vintage shop!), but the skirts were so tight that my bum wouldn't fit in... people who have a pear shaped body will know the struggle! The skirts were so tight, but on the other hand, the blazers looked like a tent on me. This suit's skirt fitted me perfectly, but the blazer was a little bit too big. But this can be fixed with a matching belt! I had to buy this suit, because the skirt fitted so well. And well, you can't have it all.

I also bought that cute brown handbag.

This vintage shop, Old Touch, was a heaven! I could have spent there the whole day, because it was full of stuff (in a good way!) and you could find treasures from every corner. Also the prices were pretty nice, I think. I saw a dress from the 30s and it was in quite a good condition and if I recall right, it was only about 50 euros. I tried it on, but sadly it was too big. What a pity! Besides clothes and accessories, there were also old items. Even some very unique items, like an old toothbrush (in an unopened package of course!). I didn't pay close attention to it, but I guess it was from the 50s or the 60s. I also saw a lovely, old suitcase, but didn't buy it.

Lotta Vintage, Upplandsgatan 45

I bought this blazer from a shop, which was very near to Old Touch. I really liked the autumnal colours of this blazer, because well, I adore autumn. I combined this with my yellow dress from the 60s, but sadly didn't take any outfit photos. Lotta Vintage was cleaner and more modern vintage shop compared to Old Touch. You could find amazing pieces of clothing. Also the owner of the shop was lovely, and after talking with her I ended up in the shop's Instagram. There was also a cute dog in the shop (I assume it was the owner's dog) and I petted it, but ended up having terrible allergy attack... My allergy and my love for animals are not such a good combination.

Uppåt väggarna, Rosenlundsgatan 1 (Södermalm)

Näyttävätpä nämä kaksi paitaa täysin erikokoisilta, heh! Oikeastaan tuo vasemmanpuoleinen paita olikin vähän iso, mutten voinut mitään, olin rakastunut siihen. Tuo kaula-aukko. Ihana.

These shirts look like they were two totally different sizes, hah! And actually, the shirt on the left is a bit too big for me, but couldn't help it, it was so beautiful. That neckline. I love it. And when you wear it with a skirt, you can't even notice the looseness. This shirt is from the 50s and the shirt on the right is from the 60s. Both of them are almost unused and you can see that. I managed to mess the turtleneck shirt with foundation almost immediately... And this if my fifth turtleneck shirt, and I need more of them!

This vintage shop called Uppåt väggarna was also pretty amazing place, it was so full of stuff that even I felt a little bit lost. The owners of the shop had ladders and they used them to climb to the highest shelfs. And oh, the owners were so helpful and nice. You just have to have some patience and you will find amazing treasures!

And then to my purchases from Copenhagen!

I bought this beautiful dress and summery shirt from a vintage shop I already mentioned in my latest post. The shop looked like there were only clothes from the 80s and the 90s, but when I went inside I realized that there were all sorts of clothes. The prices weren't too expensive either. I think I probably tried on five different dresses, but I ended up buying this one, because I didn't have a dress in this colour. The hem of the dress is also perfect, because it goes well with a petticoat, but also without! At first I was unsure about that blue shirt, but I ended up buying it and now I'm really happy that I bought it. It goes well with my blue skirt.

This Episode shop was really big and I after paying I realized that it had an another floor! I recommend this shop also for those, who are interested in the fashion of the 80s and the 90s. You can find lots of different clothes from there!

Sneaky Fox, Studiestraede 25A

This beautiful dress is from a shop, which sells repro clothes. I fell in love with its colour and print. The prices where a bit too much for me, probably because I'm not so used to the prices of repro clothes, heh! But luckily, this dress was on sale, so I was ready to buy it. There was just one problem: there were only two sizes left, size M and L. At first I thought to not try the dress on at all, because I was so sure it would be too big for me. But I ended up trying it on and realized that the loose waist could be fixed with a belt and the dress wasn't too big from the front either! And the best thing is: it has pockets! I took some outfit photos with this dress on last week and I will probably publish those photos here as soon as possible. Because these photos just don't show how beautiful this dress is.

The shop was quite small, but it was full of beautiful repro dresses. Not everything was vintage inspired there, but the dresses had really funny prints on them. And there were also lots of bigger sizes available. The owner of the shop was helpful and friendly too.

Mekossa on suloinen printti!
Look at this cute print!

The beautiful hat and the umbrella are from a vintage shop called Decor. I have been dreaming of an umbrella for a while now, because I don't like to get tanned and the sunshine gives me easily a headache. Now I finally found the perfect umbrella and it was in a really good condition! The hat is from the 50s and it's also in a fantastic condition. My little hat collection grew with one new hat, yay!

Decor was really similar to Old Touch in Stockholm: lots of stuff everywhere. Even though the shop was quite small, I felt a little lost because of the amount of things. But I love these kinds of vintage shops that are full of clothes and other stuff. At least I have found my best purchases from these kinds of shops. The service was also quite good: the owner offered port wine for us! And of course you would have enjoyed the drink while sitting on an antique chair. In Finland this would never happen. It would be banned in the blink of an eye! There were also lots of coats available, also some designer labels, like Burberry.

Punainen Risti/Red Cross, Roskilde

I won't try to find the address of this Red Cross shop, because I don't think anyone of you is extremely interested to visit it. There are lots of Red Cross shops in Denmark, so you will probably stumble upon one while just walking around.

This cardigan, which you can probably find from any over 70 years old women's wardrobe, can now also be found from mine! Hah, this reminds me of those cardigans a little bit older ladies use, but whatever! Sometimes it's nice to be really old-fashioned. I also bought Glenn Miller's CD with only 50 cents.

Punainen risti/Red Cross, Roskilde

This set was quite a find, I think! I honestly would have not thought that I would be able to find this kind of a piece of clothing from a Red Cross shop in a little town! The trip to the shop was pretty funny, because the sellers didn't speak English and the other one started to praise my style - I think. It felt really rude to just nod and smile, because usually I like to chat a little bit more, if someone comes and says that I have a really nice style. I can't speak Danish, even though I have lived there.

H&M, Lyngby

Yes, I accidentally ended up visiting H&M, even though when I'm abroad, I try not to visit shops that can be found from Finland... But this shirt melted my heart with the lovely print and colour.

Lähikuvaa printistä.
The print.

Ei mitään muistikuvaa mistä ostin nämä.
I have no idea where I bought these.

Tykästyin näiden taulujen vintageteemaan, vaikkei tuo "A life without dancing is no life at all" pädekään minuun yhtään. Vihaan tanssimista.

These beautiful wooden paintings are from a nice decoration shop in Lyngby. But I have no idea what was the name of the shop. I really love the vintage theme of these paintings, even though I don't agree with the sentence "A life without dancing is no life at all." I hate dancing.

Ah niin kliseistä, mutta ei voi mitään.
Ah, what a cliché!
